There is war in my homelands,
dearest mother,
dearest father,
the child in me wants to beg for peace,
but the jaded adult just picks up the pieces again,
M60 in one hand, grenade pins in the other.

I can't say I'm Switzerland but I'm not a patriot or a Nazi,
how can I stay neutral with all this war around me,
they say they'll leave the children alone but then,

When parents join DA...

My dad recently created a DA after he saw some of the art work I was admiring. No doubt his reasons are questionable, but hopefully he'll be able to explore more then the artistic nude section after a while. No doubt its a bit of a nude over load for him lol

To make myself clear, I told him he wasn't to look for me, and even if he found out my username, I've blocked him. I"m not embarrassed about what i've said or posted on DA, however this is a separate part of my life, as it is for most people who join online communities, and I'd like to keep it drama free.

I really hope that I'm able to do so. >_> should I start taking down personal pictures and art work that I've shown him before??? Its just paranoia at that point...right?

My name is Katlyn and I am 20, a Taurus!
I hope to take classes to continue my interest in Art, however I am currently struggling with other problems so they will have to wait.

I love art, and I love creating it.
I do digital photography and poetry, I also do traditional art, such as drawing, print making, water paintings, ceramics, etc. My newest pursuit is Digital Art, using the Paint Tool SAI system! Its mostly all self taught so far, and i only have the basics of the brushes because i cant figure out how to put in more, but things are going okay :D

My sexuality? Well they have a little story for people like me. I'm the type of person who can go up to anyone and stick my hand down their pants and be happy with what I find :D
My Appearance? Look up stupid.
My Personality? Well you'll just have to make an effort there to know :dance:
Anything else? We'll find out! :heart:

Hey, you should consider joining the group PagesOfPoetry and get involved with the two week theme work. Basically, you get some sort of theme, and you write your piece based on it and submit it. It would be great to have you take part, it starts this coming monday so you have till then to get ready a piece. And it goes on for two more weeks from Monday so you have a lot of time! Just check it out and see what you think :p

As a fellow artist, I know how much a critique can mean and do for you, every one that I get a very much appreciate as well. :) I wouldn't say that I have much more experience, I honestly did intend to become a poem when it all came about. I just was a very lonely girl, a freshmen in a really awesome English class being forced to write for the first time on something personal and it came bursting out of me, twice as fast as I fell in love. Though I guess that in it self is pretty poetic. :)
